Plymouth Surf Lifesaving Society is a society which retains a great atmosphere of fun yet still allows people to gain training and education in Lifesaving. We train twice a week, Mondays and Wednesdays. On the Monday session the training focuses on fitness and general fitness and on Wednesday the focus is given more to lifesaving itself with practices in areas such as rope throws or tows. Wednesday is also social night which can be anything from pub olympics or going out to switch night club with other societies as well as non alcoholic socials such as club bowling! We regularly carry out beach weekends which includes surf lifesaving skills as well surf lessons which is always guaranteed to be a good day out.
Plymouth attend competitions throughout out the year always have a minimum of 2 teams, with the club seeing this as not only an opportunity to compete but to also socialise and get to know each other.
