We are the University of Nottingham Lifesaving Club!

Looking to make a splash at university? Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced lifeguard or competitor, the University of Nottingham Lifesaving Club is the place for you! We are a welcoming, inclusive community that’s all about introducing students to the exciting world of lifesaving.

Our training sessions are a mix of speed events and SERCs, all led by our student committee. Our sessions are tailored to everyone, whether you’re looking to develop lifesaving skills or just to try something new! We also offer the opportunity to complete RLSS National Lifesaving Academy awards and provide first aid for university events.

But that’s not all - if you’re competitive, we’ve got you covered! We regularly participate in BULSCA competitions. This year, our A-team placed 3rd, and our B-team secured 4th in their respective leagues. To top it off, we were awarded BULSCA Club of the Year for our commitment to growing the club and promoting lifesaving across our campus.

Next year, our goal is to recruit even more members, maintain our competition presence, and continue improving as a club both in and out of the pool!

We’re not just about lifesaving; we’re about building lasting friendships and creating unforgettable university experiences. We welcome students from both the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent. With a variety of socials and events throughout the year, there’s always something fun happening in the club. Whether you’re here to compete, learn a new skill, or just make new friends, we can’t wait to welcome you to our club!
